Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Blanc Ceramic! By booking, attending, or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. These terms govern your use of our website and participation in our classes, workshops, and services.

1. General Terms
  • Services Provided: Blanc Ceramic offers ceramic classes, workshops, courses, kiln hire, and studio use for corporate events, as well as the sale of ceramic products and equipment.

  • Legal Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively within the courts of London, United Kingdom. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objections to venue or jurisdiction.

  • Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 16 years old to attend our classes unless specified otherwise for certain children's classes. If under 16, a guardian must accompany the participant.

2. Bookings and Payments
  • Purchases: By booking a class, workshop, or service with Blanc Ceramic, you enter into a legally binding agreement. You are responsible for reading all relevant information about the class or product before completing your purchase.

  • Pricing: All prices are listed on our website and may change at any time without prior notice. Taxes will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

  • Payment Methods: Full payment must be made at the time of booking to secure your spot. All bookings are final, and no refunds or exchanges will be provided unless otherwise stated in our cancellation policy.

3. Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations by Participants: All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to blanceramics@gmail.com.
    Cancellation requests received at least 7 days before the scheduled class, workshop, or event may qualify for a refund or rescheduling at Blanc Ceramic’s discretion.
    Cancellation requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled event will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
    Cancellations by Blanc Ceramic: Blanc Ceramic reserves the right to cancel a class, course, or event for any reason, including insufficient enrollment or other operational issues. In such cases, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

4. Health and Safety
  • Liability: Participation in any of our classes or workshops involves inherent risks associated with a ceramic studio environment, including the use of sharp tools, exposure to high temperatures, and inhalation of silica dust. By attending, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to release Blanc Ceramic from liability for any injuries or illnesses sustained during participation.

  • Consumption of Products: Blanc Ceramic is not responsible for any harm or illness caused by consuming food or drink from ceramics produced in the studio.

5. Student Work and Studio Use
  • Ownership: All work produced by participants in our classes remains the property of the student. However, Blanc Ceramic reserves the right to photograph and use images of student work for promotional purposes, including social media and marketing materials.
    Damaged Work: In the event of damage to a student’s work during firing (such as cracking or explosions in the kiln), Blanc Ceramic is not responsible for any refunds or compensation, though we may, at our discretion, offer to replace or redo the work if feasible.
    Collection of Works: Blanc Ceramic will notify you via email, WhatsApp, or SMS when your finished pieces are ready for collection, typically within 7-8 weeks of your course’s end date. However, this timeframe may be extended depending on the kiln firing schedule.
    We request that you collect your finished work as soon as possible to help keep our storage area clear. You have up to one month from the notification date to collect your work. Uncollected finished work will be disposed of after three months of course completion.

6. Kiln Hire Terms
  • Responsibility: Kiln hirers are responsible for their own work. The kiln hire service includes access to the kiln only. Any additional services, such as storage, glazing, or finishing, will incur additional charges.
    Damage Fees: Hirers will be charged for any damage to kiln equipment (e.g., shelves or stilts) resulting from improper use, such as explosions or glaze melting onto surfaces.
    Firing Outcomes: Blanc Ceramic cannot guarantee the outcomes of firings, including issues like cracking, glaze imperfections, or other firing-related damages.

7. Delivery Policy
  • Liability: Blanc Ceramic is not responsible for any damages, losses, or delays in the delivery of goods once they have been dispatched. We use third-party carriers to fulfill orders, and while we take care to ensure that all items are packaged securely, any damages or issues arising during transit are the responsibility of the carrier.
    Shipping: By purchasing products from our website, you acknowledge the potential for issues like breakage, delivery failure, or loss during transit. We are not liable for these occurrences, and any issues should be addressed directly with the carrier (Royal Mail, for example).
    Returns and Refunds: Due to the nature of our products, returns are not accepted unless items are damaged upon arrival. If your product arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours and provide photographic evidence for assessment.

8. Intellectual Property
  • Ownership of Content: All content on our website, including but not limited to images, text, graphics, logos, and designs, is the intellectual property of Blanc Ceramic and is protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any content from our website is prohibited.
    Licensing: By using our services, you are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access and use the content solely for personal use, provided you do not infringe on our intellectual property rights.

9. Privacy and Communication
  • Privacy: We value your privacy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.
    Marketing Communications: By booking with Blanc Ceramic, you agree to receive promotional emails and other communications related to our services. If you do not wish to receive these communications, you can opt-out at any time by contacting us at blanceramics@gmail.com.

10. Lost or Stolen Items 
  • Blanc Ceramic is not responsible for any lost or stolen items on the premises. Participants are encouraged to take responsibility for their personal belongings while on-site.

11. Force Majeure 
  • Blanc Ceramic shall not be held responsible for any cancellations or disruptions to services caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseeable events.
